Insignia began in 1992 as a subsidiary of a prominent full service sign company called Third Floor North Company. The subsidiary grew quickly under Joseph Westbrook, a 3 year TFN employee. During these years the focus was on sandblasted cedar and redwood signs, hence the name Blasted Wood Products.
In 1998, Joseph and another partner purchased Blasted Wood Products from TFN and moved to a 5,000 square foot facility in Anaheim, California. Blasted Wood Products became known nationwide as the industry leader in sandblasted wholesale signs because of its expertise, customer service and quality. The company began working with other techniques and substrates, which in turn, created dramatic sales growth with each new product. Blasted Wood Products, Inc. Incorporated in October of 1998 as a C-Corporation.Â
Â
After several years of growth, the company restructured and Joseph Westbrook became the sole owner. In 2003, it became obvious that the name Blasted Wood Products no longer fit the company. After much consideration, the company became Insignia. We chose this name because it embodied our mission to help you leave your mark on the world.Â
